As book banning sweeps through our country at an unprecedented rate, brave librarians emerge as first responders in the fight for democracy and our First Amendment rights, flanked by concerned community members and young readers. Despite facing harassment, threats, and laws aimed at criminalizing their work, the librarians you’ll see on screen will inspire you with their rallying cry for the freedom to read.

Here in Wyoming, a similar-in-nature bill that targets library books for “sexually explicit” content could have detrimental effects on libraries across our state.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on what community members can do to support libraries and freedom of information.

The screening is presented Teton County Library Foundation & Friends, Teton County Library, Better Wyoming, and Jackson Hole International Film Festival.
