Frequently Asked Questions
Can I renew my materials?
We'll give you more time with your library materials with up to three automatic renewals unless somebody else has a hold on those items. But you can get back in line for these items by placing a hold on them once you've returned them.
To renew your materials before the automatic renewal takes place:
- Log in to My Account
- Go to Checkouts tab
- Click the blue "renew" box next to the item you're renewing
How do I know if something is overdue?
Never miss a due date. Make sure your library account includes your email address so you will receive due date reminders and automatic renewal notifications. You can also call us at 307-733-2164 to renew items or log-in to My Account.
We’ll send you reminders:
- Three days before your items are due
- on the first day the items are overdue
- at one week overdue
- at three weeks overdue
At six weeks overdue, we'll bill your account for the cost of replacing the items. The next time you visit us, you can return the items and erase the bill. Or if they’ve been lost or damaged, you’ll need to pay the replacement cost. You won’t be able to use your card until you do. If we only have your mailing address, you’ll only get the final three notices.
How can I suspend a hold I’ve placed?
Have you placed a hold(s) on library material, and concerned it will become available when you're unable to pick it up? You can suspend your hold! You will still be on hold for the item, but we'll skip your name until it's more convenient for you. Here's how:
- Log into your Library account.
- Once logged in, click Titles on Hold.
- Find the item with the hold you want to suspend, click on SUSPEND HOLD(S).
- Select the date range of when you'll be away.
- Click on SUSPEND.
