Teton County Library has public-use computers at both locations, and laptops that may be checked out for two hours and used within the library.
Our Computer Center computers have:
- Internet access
- Printing capabilities
- Microsoft Office Standard (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Media software like Windows Media Player and VLC Player
- USB ports for flash drives
Computer use is free and open to anyone. There is a 90-minute time limit if someone is waiting. All TCL cardholders may log in to our public computers with their card numbers. Visitors may ask for a guest pass at the Front Desk or Youth Desk.
Additionally, the Computer Center in Jackson has one Apple Mac Editing Station (provided by the Wonder Institute) equipped with the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Audacity, Blender, Davinci Resolve, Garage Band, iMovie, and a VLC Media Player. This computer is to be used specifically for creative and editing purposes, not for general purposes.
Teton County Library does not use filtering software and assumes no responsibility for the content of the Internet. Parents should consider whether their children are mature enough to operate computers unsupervised, and should have media smart conversations with any children who will be unsupervised on our computers.
