Dave Kampfschulte has worked in the hospice field for 38 years as a volunteer and educator. Join us for a thoughtful and entertaining session as he relates his experiences of interacting and initiating conversations with patients and their families at the end of life. In addition, getting your affairs in order, advance directives, and planning ahead will be discussed. You will leave with new insights about a subject that is usually avoided at all costs, but one we all must face, both for ourselves and our loved ones.
Dave Kampfschulte is Director of Amazing Circles Workshops, a nationally known speaker, and author of I’m Dying to Talk with You: Twenty Five Years of Conversations on End of Life Decisions. Using his empathy, humor, energy, and over 45 years as an educator, Dave facilitates interactive, enlightening workshops and presentations to professionals and general audiences. Dave has a Masters in Education, is an instructor with Aquinas College’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, (OLLI), and a long time hospice volunteer. He is a past recipient of the East Grand Rapids (Michigan) Schools Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award.
