Presentation: “Walking the Geology of the Teton Crest Trail” by Mike Scher, Geologists of Jackson Hole"

This talk will follow the Teton crest trail from the top of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort tram to the String Lake trailhead. We will discuss the faults, fossils, glacial features, and more on this amazing hike. The talk will integrate the geology we see with the larger geologic picture of the Teton range. This talk will enable hikers to see geologic features that they will be able to find and understand when they do their own hike. In addition, there will be many rocks in the auditorium for people to see to better be able to identify them in the field.
