Back to school transitions can provide a host of challenges for parents and children. How to get to school on time? How to get to bed on time? How to manage school responsibilities, extracurriculars, home responsibilities, and family fun? Busy lives and new transitions can lead to stress and challenging behaviors. Keeping our families happy, healthy, and sane through all of this takes being intentional and proactive. This interactive workshop with Rachel Wigglesworth, parent coach and educator and founder of Growing Great Families, will focus on the “how tos” of teaching our kids the skills they need to move through the school year. We will discuss how to create rules that work and routines that stick. Once in place, the rules and routines can be the teacher so parents no longer have to nag, scold, or boss. Let’s set our kids – and ourselves – off on the right foot as we transition into the new school year!

The first hour of class to discuss the 6 R’s of creating a stress free family environment. The last 30 minutes will be used for hands-on work, discussion and questions so that you can leave with a plan to implement ideas from this class in your own family.
