Ready4K

About the ServiceAdult and child reading a book together

University of Wyoming’s Literacy Research Center and Clinic teamed up with Stanford University to make the Ready4K service available in Wyoming in 2016. Ready4K is now provided by a company started by the original Stanford researchers called ParentPowered Technologies. Statewide organizations, including the Wyoming Library Association and Wyoming Head Start Association, are supporting outreach efforts to parents of children kindergarten age and younger. Locally, leaders in promoting this service include the library, Children’s Learning Center and Teton Literacy Center.

Participants

This service is for parents and caregivers with children birth age to 5 years old. Users will receive 3 texts a week with tops and tools that help your child learn. Texts are available in Spanish and English.

Research shows receiving these helpful texts can significantly increase children’s learning.
