We welcome the Grand Teton Music Festival on the Road back to both library locations this summer!

GTMF musicians perform free mini concerts in a highly interactive way. An up close and personal way to introduce your kids to classical (and some not-so-classical) music.




Jackson Main Library concert:

Feel the Music: String Quartet

12:00 p.m.

A string quartet of GTMF musicians and Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich look at different classical pieces and talk to the audience about the emotions they evoke and why. Each musician will showcase their instrument and share the emotions they feel when playing music.


Alta Branch concerts:

A World of Music: Jazz Quartet
WED, AUG 18
3:00 p.m.

From the beaches of South America to the deserts of the Middle East, the quartet will travel the globe and highlight why and how music sounds different based on geographic location. The musicians also demystify the concept of improvisation in music and will invite the audience to participate in a little improvisation.
