Kids' Friday Summer Reading Storytime.

Young Puppeteers.
10:30a.m.-noon. If you like puppets and marionettes and you want to learn how to make them, this workshop is for you. Learn how to make four different types of marionettes and puppets and make people laugh, dream and imagine by becoming a puppeteer. Professional puppeteer and master of marionettes, Raúl Juárez leads this workshop for kids ages 7 to 14. Registration required, sign up begins July 21. Snacks provided. Cost: Free. 11 August, Monday
Nature Journaling Class with Melissa Malm. 10-11:30 a.m. The Center of Wonder & Library offer a journaling workshop for kids ages 8 to 12 with local artist and journaling teacher Melissa Malm. Kids will explore the library's back yard with paper and pen. Participants receive a free journal. Sign up required, begins July 28. Cost: Free. Location: Ordway Auditorium. Valley Celebrity Read Outs. 3:30 p.m. daily. As part of the three-week "Discover Wonder" celebration, community celebrities will read and talk about a favorite children's book that inspired their wonder. Come to the library for short, daily readings by DJ Fishmon (Mon.), Mayor Mark Barron (Tue.), Rusty Palmer (Wed.), Melissa Turley (Thur.) and more through Friday. Cost: Free. 13 & 20 August, Wednesdays
Digital Nature Walk. 10 a.m.-noon. Kids ages 6 to 10 are invited to take a guided nature walk on Wed. Aug. 13 with camera instruction by Carrie Noel from the JH Wildlife Film Festival and a naturalist from the Teton Science Schools. The following week, kids will write about their photos with Matt Daly and display them on the library's Children's Exhibition Wall. A collaboration between the Center of Wonder, Teton County Library, Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival and Teton Science Schools. Sign up required, begins Aug. 1. Cost: Free. Wonder Movie: "The Last Mimzy." 3:30-5 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon children's movie about science, discovery and believing in yourself. In "The Last Mimzy" two kids befriend a creature from space, who has been sent to earth to find a tear drop that will save the planet (PG, 90 min.). Presented by the Center of Wonder & Library. Wonder-filled Toddler Times.
Every Tuesday from 10:05-10:25 a.m. and 10:35-10:55 a.m. and Thursday from 10:05-10:25 a.m. During three weeks of "Discover Wonder," the Library and Center of Wonder inspire Toddler Times with play dough, bubbles and natural art activities.
