Who can participate: Students entering grades 6 through 12 next fall in Teton County and the surrounding area, as well as students from out-of-state residing in Teton County for the summer. Register for Teen Summer Reading online at www.TCLib.org/teens starting Monday, June 14 in order to qualify for cool prizes and learn more about fun events. Participants will need to create a user name and PIN they can remember!
Track the number of hours you read online at www.TCLib.org/teens, with your user name and PIN. You can read any printed material of your choice – books, magazines, newspapers, comic books and more! For every hour you read, you will earn a chance to win one of the main prizes, chosen at random each week from our pool of reader hours. Additional prizes of $10 gift certificates to Valley Bookstore and Main Event Books will also be awarded each week by random choice to: 3 participants who have logged reading hours that week and 1 participant who has written a book review.
Optional – but another way to win great prizes! When you are logged into your account to enter reading time, you are also encouraged to write a brief book review. Quality book reviews will be chosen and posted on the library’s teen website. In addition, each week beginning June 30, a review writer of the week will be chosen at random to win a $10 gift certificate to Valley Bookstore or Main Event Books.
Take part in special events to “Make Waves @Your Library,” including the dramatic arts, digital creations, henna tattoos, duct tape creations, and more! Get all event details on the other side of this program. (online version should say:” …about events are here…” – hyperlink to event info)
