Welcome to the new Teton County Library Alta Branch
The Teton County Library Alta Branch opened Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in its new location. The 2,500-square-foot building now has room for expanded collections; five internet-access computer stations (three for adults and two for children); a reading area with spectacular Teton views; a public meeting room that can seat up to 28 people and a children's area.

The new Alta Branch Library is located adjacent to the Alta Elementary School and St. Francis of the Tetons Episcopal Church, across from the Teton Teepee Lodge in Alta. From Driggs, Idaho, follow Little Avenue/Ski Hill Road toward Grand Targhee Resort. After crossing Stateline Road into Wyoming, turn left at the second street. Library cards are free to residents of both Teton Counties, Wyo. and Idaho. The Alta Branch Library circulates books, magazines, audiobooks and videotapes for adults and children with access to materials from the main branch in Jackson. Computers with Internet access, word processing and Spanish language capabilities are available to the public.

WEDNESDAYS, 11-11:45 a.m. A new library, new books and new storytimes! Young children are invited to Alta Branch Library for stories, songs, arts, crafts, jumping and jiggling every Wednesday. Free!
