Teton County Library Recycles

recycleTeton County Library works to be a green, sustainable building and operation.

The library recycles all items accepted by the Jackson Community Recycling Center. In 2007, the Center designated the library a RRR Business Leader for its efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, which include:

● Re-using furniture by re-upholstering chairs, rather than throwing them away.

● Mailing plastic CD covers to a private company for recycling.

● Adding clearly marked containers to high-traffic areas to encourage recycling.

● Purchasing a printer that uses ink crayons that eliminate the need for plastic ink cartridges.

● Buying and stocking recycled office supplies.
