D & D is a pencil-and-paper role playing game. Students will create characters and role-play as those characters while they navigate a storyline filled with adventure and challenges. Students not only learn how to work together as a team but are constantly practicing their math and reading skills as they calculate what decision to make in the story. Playing Dungeons and Dragons and similar collaborative games is not only a great way to make new friends, but a great way to grow as a person. Role playing forces students to see the world from a new perspective, which in turn, gives them more tools to navigate the real world.
This event is free and open to all experience levels. Each session will be a stand-alone adventure, so there is no need to have any experience or have been to any of the previous sessions.
Join Garrett Austen of Teton Tutors at the Library for a beginner adventure - no experience necessary! Materials will be provided. 6th - 8th grade only!
