About the Program

Ruff Readers invites children, ages 6 to 12, to improve their reading skills and make new friends by reading aloud to therapy dogs. Drop in for 20-minute sessions. First come, first served.

How It Works

The reader chooses from books in the library’s collection and then reads aloud to the therapy dog. The dog’s handler encourages the child to interact with the dog and may offer reading help if the child requests it. All dogs and handlers are registered through Pet Partners Therapy Animals.

Our Partner

Ruff Readers is a partnership between Teton County Library and Teton County Pet Partners.
